The training program covers the theoretical background of electromagnetic wave propagation, radar equation, concept of radar cross section (RCS), RCS of different targets and objects, aspects of scattering and RCS reduction techniques. On top of this background information, we demonstrate simulations by either RAY-DAR or other simulation tools to the choice of the participants. We finally provide a hands-on session to the participants to allow them to apply the knowledge they have learned.


This advanced course includes the theory simulation methods and modeling of magnetic signatures of naval vessels. We will introduce the participants to the basic concepts of magnetic signature analysis and naval stealth technologies, degaussing system architectures and coil design, and finally the simulation of magnetic signatures of naval vessels using well-established simulation tools. We also cover the topics of optimization, sensor placement with case studies.
